If you are a patient at our clinic, then you will have almost certainly seen a Dr Graeme All Purpose Massager in your adjusting room, and have probably had one used on you. Many of our patients have actually purchased on for themselves to use at home!
In this video, our senior Chiropractor Tracy explains how a Dr Graeme Massager works, and how to use it to get the most out of the massager.
We use the Dr Graeme All Purpose massager in the clinic to target trigger points. Trigger points are tight areas of muscle that refer pain and can be relieved through various ways – for example our Massage Therapists will use manual techniques to work deep into the muscle tissue.
For our Chiropractors and Osteopaths however, their time in your appointment needs to be focussed on manipulating and adjusting so this is where a massager tool comes in! The vibrations from the massager help work into the muscle tissue, and can ease areas of tightness off enough to help with the adjustment.
While a vibration massager will never be as effective as a Massage Therapist, they are a very important tool for us in the clinic and a great idea for patients to have at home to use in between sessions to keep sore, tight muscles at bay in between treatments.
Our Dr Graeme All Purpose massagers fly off the shelves, so don’t hesitate to let us know if you would like us to put one aside for you when you are next in the clinic!
