What we’ve been up to

Happy New Year everyone! How have we reached January again? Every year time seems to go faster and 2017 was no exception. I was so delighted to end the year with several happy occasions spent with friends and family. Probably most precious of these was Penelope’s 1st birthday. We celebrated with an adorable penguin party and Penelope showed off her new found walking abilities and a love of coconut cake.

The Banchory Chiropractic Team enjoying their Christmas night out

Christmas Day was a cosy and quiet affair which allowed us to focus all our attention on Archie and Penny (and eating Panettone obviously).  Archie spent the day building lego brick by brick which was great fun, as was stopping Penny from eating said bricks. New Year was a bit more wild spent eating curry with friends. We even made it to the bells this year!

Now that it’s January I’m looking forward to getting back to Saturday morning bootcamp and can’t wait to see the night’s get lighter so we can enjoy more family time outdoors.

I am excited for what the year holds work-wise too. We are looking forward to catching up with all our lovely clients after the festive period and are enthusiastically looking for a receptionist to join our lovely Banchory Chiropractic family. Spread the word if you know anyone who fits the bill (more information on the facebook page). There will be other new and exciting things afoot in the clinic too which we’ll keep you updated on. Let’s make 2018 the best year yet!

The last couple of months have been hectic for Laura, between the clinic and seeing horses she’s been to the BE ball, conferences, went to a fantastic women’s chiropractic event in Majorca and even managed to get her own horses out to a couple of competitions!

Between all that, she still made time to enjoy the snow while it was here – Joey had fun too!

Now Christmas is over she’s looking forward to sneaking away for a week’s skiing before getting back to normality!

Anders has had a month that was as busy as ever. He went to Huntly just before Christmas for an open day at the Nordic Skiing centre which was great fun and an opportunity to meet fellow skiiers. His partner tried skiing on the little brush tracks they have which was good practice for her too. Luckily there was some snow in Banchory too which allowed for wintery walks and runs in the forests.
Anders was delighted to have 9 days at home in Norway over Christmas. He had a great time seeing family and friends and was kept very busy doing so after over a year away from home. As is tradition in Norway, Anders celebrated on Christmas Eve but Christmas day was also a special and holy day for him and his family.

The beauty of Norway

After suffering with flu at Hogmanay, Anders has been all about getting well again and starting his New Year’s Resolutions!
